3rd Berlin Beach Rugby: we are ready!

Berlin Irish Rugby Football Club is hosting again Berlin’s one and only beach rugby tournament

This 13th August, from 10:00 onwards, we will welcome at the BeachMitte premises women and men teams from throughout Germany, the UK, and Pirate players from all over the world. We will also be offering prizes to the competition winners, as well as in our raffle, that has been generously supported by our sponsors.

For those new to this modality, let us tell you that it works wonders as pre-season training, given how demanding running in the sand is. In addition, the relatively small beach rugby court (it measures 25×30 m only) ensures plenty of fun contact. Game after game, five players a side will face each other for two intense five-minute half times.

Spectators will be able to enjoy this exciting rugby competition for free—not to mention the music, drinks, food, games and, in general, a simply extraordinary Summer vibe!

After the previous very successful 2018 and 2019 editions (and the break we had to take due to certain pandemic), this will be the third installment of this tournament—for which we are looking stronger than ever as a club, and will re-invest all our profits into the development of our youth teams.
