Berlin Irish introduce first AI Coach

Enabled through a technology pilot scheme run by Rugby Deutschland and the Freeman Richards Applied University Durban, The club are delighted to introduce SPORT-BOT, who will be joining the club as their new Men’s Head coach. The AI, which was developed by the team behind ChatGPT, boasts World Rugby level 2 coaching badge, a catalogue of drills and tactics donated by Stellenbosch University and speaks 19 different languages.

“We’re delighted to introduce SPORT-BOT to the team. At Berlin Irish we want to be at the cutting edge of Rugby Innovation and offer our players the best possible support. Additionally SPORT-BOT never sleeps, gets stuck at work, or forgets to bring the Jerseys on a game day”
- Kit Turner, Chairman

SPORT-BOT starts immediately and the men’s team have already received their new fitness training plans, dietary programs and sleep schedules. These have been individually tailored to each player based on profiles the FRA University Durban team created using the teams personal data taken from Social Media, Online Retail, Government Records, Medical Data, and other sources.

After analyzing trends from the most recent games SPORT-BOT has already set it’s targets for this season and beyond. With the team showing a positive scoring trend in the matches against RK03 (12), Potsdam (27) and Jena (58), it’s been able to express a 95% confidence in a victory over RC Dresden in May by a stunning +220 points. With this in mind the club has already invited representatives from the Guinness Book of World Records for the 10th May showdown at Sportanlage Jungfernheide
